Award-winning filmmaker Behrouz Afkhami’s latest television series ‘Thunder and Lightning’ is expected to wrap up production before the holy month of Ramadan.
Afkhami’s cast and crew are ready to appear before the camera in Iran’s Golestan province, later next week.
Based on a true story, ‘Thunder and Lightning’ is a dramatic reenactment of the incidents surrounding the recent Iranian flashfloods of early 2019, featuring a blend of action, comedy, adventure, suspense, and horror.
In addition to Golestan, other Iranian regions affected by the floods are also in the list of shooting locations including the provinces of Lorestan, Kermanshah, and Khouzestan.
With the main cast being made up of 10-15 main characters, including Atila Pesyani (Cyanide) and Abdorreza Akbari (The Window), the names of the remaining cast members have yet to be disclosed until the list is finalized.
Besides the main cast, the series will be featuring over 100 secondary characters with shorter roles.
‘Thunder and Lightning’ will be made up of 25 episodes with Davoud Hashemi heading the production team.
